Works

These are various projects I have done over the last few years. There are installations, sculptures, animation…I know I’m a jack of all trades…maybe when I grow up I’ll know what I want to be?
Anyway, enjoy.

In D
In D

“In D” was created by Andre Hayter and designer Michael Novia, this free event was the perfect way to kick off the Big Ears experience. It was appropriate for all ages and for anyone who could shake a smart phone.

“In D” put you into the experience of performing Riley’s famous minimalist work and was a great way for everyone to get involved in this incredible festival.

Little SIS
Little SIS

“Little SIS” is an interactive installation that creates sound and visuals in response to users’ movements. The sounds consist of an imaginary language that is generated in real time. This language is reconstructed from pre-recorded english phonemes. The graphics are an abstracted representation of the person in the space. The tracking is performed using a camera and software built with openframeworks and processing

Sensitive Dependence
Sensitive Dependence

“Sensitive Dependence” is an interactive installation of light and sound I created for my master’s at COFA, UNSW. Through the use of video tracking, projection and recordings of voices, the installation invites participants to cooperatively find relationships in space that evoke harmony.

Phil Gets It
Phil Gets It

My lone foray so far into the world of 3D animation. I made this video in 2007 for my Intro to 3D class at COFA, UNSW with my partner Andrew Oskar. We came up with the concept together and collaborated on the animation. This was all done in Maya. I did the sound work. Yes that is me grunting :-).
